Is it really EVER Friday for SAHM's? Do we REALLY ever have a weekend, holiday, sick day, mental health day? Are we allotted vacation time that we can schedule for whenever? No, No, and a big fat NO! LOL. You know ladies, we'd be rich if we got paid to do what we do on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis! Okay, stepping off my soapbox. :)
I "celebrated" a birthday Wed...I emphasize celebrated because it couldn't have been more opposite. It was a drab, blah, kid filled day. BUT I am very thankful that God has allowed me to see another year to fuss about how hubby is such a non romantic. The boy needs classes, seriously. I'm even more thankful that he's blessed me with another kiddo. I see fear in my future, but the pros will outweigh that for sure. This pregnancy has been filled with the "uglies," but one by one, I think we're defeating them.
Anyone have any inspiration out there in the scrappy world???? I get sooo anti-scrappy during preggo months it's ashamed. I really want to, but when i sit down to do it, I'm either distracted by kiddos, sickness, hubby...or just life in general. Oh well, this too shall pass!! lol.

WTH! It's been a while!
Hoping to get this blogging thing started again. "Hoping" being the operative word here. I've been such a slacker...needless to say ay??? This one will be short and oh so sweet :). To give a kick in the knee, I've been hoarding and harboring news for a little bit. My hubby and I are expecting another kiddo in April. Yeah, "SURPRISE" right??? lol, that's what we thought! I'm excited, nervous, overwhelmed, scared...you name it, i'm feeling it. Not to mention this kiddo has brought out all the uglies of pregnancy. I just pray that all goes well because if so, this my friends will be my final trip to the cutting table in the operating room of love! I'm getting too old for this shit! Hugs to all!

Still kicking.....
Where does the time go? Can't believe it's been over a month since I've had the chance to update. Not much has been going on...just trying to get into a consistent routine with Kensington and KJ. KJ is a handful, as usual, add that to a newborn needing your undivided attention at all times, well you have a recipe for "NO TIME!" It never fails, as soon as she's asleep, he's up and about running around like a little crazy man, and when he goes down for a nap, she wakes. I do rather enjoy and savor the rare event that they both go down together. Even then, that's filled with housework, cooking, laundry...does it ever end folks?? I think not! I have like 18yrs of non stop "fun!" Seriously, eventhough it gets a little crazy at times, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Kensington is doing well. She's 2months old already...and chunky as ever! She has started smiling back and cooing. I love that. So precious and innocent. Now if we can get her to sleep all night, I think we have a winner!!! Soon...soon. Her frequency has cut down a hell of a lot. She'll go to sleep around 11 or midnight and wake around 4 or 5. Which isn't bad compared to what she used to do when we first brought her home. So, hopefully the trend continues and she'll be an all nighter soon!
The weather has been off the chains crazy. For the first time in 6yrs, I was afraid that our house was gonna take on water. We got dumped on yesterday. We're not in a flood prone area and we've never had to worry about flooding, but yesterday proved it doesn't matter if you're in a flood zone or not. Scary stuff. Thank God it slacked up just enough for the water to drain off-that plus we have the benefit of very sandy soil....so that helped a lot.

Back....well sorta!
Well, you'd have to be underground to not know that the deed has been done! I've had my little girl, Kensington Sanaa! She arrived here Feb 02, 9:28 am, 8lbs 10 oz, 21 inches long. She is a definite night owl, and needless to say, I've been sleepless in AL since she's arrived! I dont have much to update on as my days and nights are filled with kiddos and a husband...(here's to you hubby...if you're reading this). So, in place of tired words...(because I'm surely that right now), here are a few recent pics of her. Take care all! And i truly hope to be back into the swing of things and updating much more often!

Making a valiant effort!
Okay, it has been a terribly long time since I've updated. I'm such a slug, I know....but hopefully soon, I'll be back on the "energy" ball again. The pregnancy is going well (according the u/s tech a couple of weeks ago, she was 7lbs already with a FULL head of hair)...but has seemed to crawl to almost a near stop! I'm soooo ready for this lil peanut to arrive. I say that, but asked if I would like to go into labor early, I yell no very quickly...lol. I'm scheduled for a c-section on February 2nd-which is only a couple weeks away...strangely enough...I'd like for her to wait for her scheduled day! But boy, am I READY! All you moms know where I'm coming from!
Seriously, not much has been going on in my world. It's been pretty laid back, for the most part, since the Christmas holidays. We brought the New Year in with quiet time and smiles...just our little family...which is how I preferred it! I'm at the doc's office twice a week still...so that keeps me busy in itself. I'm at the point where just showering and putting on clothes is a task! Then of course there's the little stinker named KJ...need I say more??? LOL
Well, that's if for now...I will try to update before the kiddo arrives...esp if she decides she wants to arrive early. I've been contracting a little, so there's always that possibility. Take care all..and do the happy count down dance with me! :)

Man, I'm horrible!
Okay, not me, but my lack of an update. Time kept going and going and going...and well me...well, I have too! It's just that time of the year folks, busy, busy, busy. I must say that I haven't shopped or gifted nearly as much this year as I have in the past...for obvious reasons though. I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but I'm sooo tired these days. This little girl has drained me. Not to mention, I still haven't bought anything for her. AGGGHH! Maybe after Xmas, some of the sales will motivate me...but I still find myself getting overwhelmed when I go to the girls section. It's so easy with KJ...I know, I know, that horse is hurting and it's DEAD! I chose to not have a baby shower...unless someone is just dying to give me one...but nothing I want to plan for myself. I'm just lazy and totally don't want to deal with it! Sad but true.
In other news, the kiddo is doing well. She weighs 5lbs...and quite the mover and shaker! My high risk OB told me he didn't need to see me anymore for the remainder of the pregnancy! I was like yay, one less appt to make! However, when I went to my reg OB, she has me coming in twice a week now! I was like WTF! I know, I know, it's for the better, but dang it sucks sometimes...esp when I have KJ (speaking of the lil booger, he has a birthday coming up on Tuesday...he makes 2yrs old! Still my baby though!), have to have hubby meet me there after work. I said I wouldn't complain because poor Char (CX) is on bed rest with partial placenta previa...with the baby's head thinning her cervix already....she's only 30wks i believe. So, with that said, I really shouldn't be complaining....just counting down! Cause the heartburn is killing a sistah!
I had an U/S last visit and the U/S tech did what they call a 4-d real time scan. I thought it was super cool cause I'd never had one before....and I didn't even request it! So, I thank her for doing so...really is cool see that sweet little face. Here's a peek:
