IKR!

Yea, I can hardly believe it myself!  2 blog posts in less than a week!  I've already checked pulse and temp!  Just here to share quickly some projects that I've completed recently for my LSS...(Scrapping Frenzy).

As we all know, Oct is Breast Cancer Awareness month...so everyone completed a project using themed papers.  I kept it simple here.

The background paper is Melissa Frances.  I used Lily Bee Alpha stickers for the title and a Unity Stamp to create the flag banners.

                          This layout features papers from the "Random" collection from Crate Paper.

Happy weekend y'all! I'm doing a quick post before I head off to my son's football game aka heat and humidity filled sweat fest! ;)   Can you tell I'm just brimming with excitement?   At any rate :D, just posting a couple of projects I've completed recently.

 

This layout was completed using Colorbox's Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays.  The complete layout and tutorial on how to achieve the controlled "ink blot" background using the dye ink spray, water, and gesso can be found here.

This layout is one that I completed for Scrapping Frenzy.  These are not papers I would traditionally use for myself so it was a good challenge for me to use them on a project. 

The branch is a die-cut that has been dyed again with Stephanie Barnard's Premium Dye Ink Spray by Colorbox in "Chocolate."  The color is so rich.....and I confess, this is the piece of paper that shows what the die-cut looks like in the packaging...very thin ...the spray did not warp it one bit.

Wonder

Well it's post Issac...kind of.  The storm is just sitting and spinning off tornadoes in it's tail winds.   The one thing you don't wanna hear taking your children to school-tornado sirens going off.  It seems like the further it gets away the windier and rainier it gets here.  Non-stop!  Ok enough whining....things could've gotten a ton worst for us, and I'm so very thankful that they didn't! 

Here's a quick layout that I completed for my LSS (Scrapping Frenzy) using Crate Paper's "Storyteller" collection. 

This is Kensie back in 2010, when she was semi innocent :D.  She was such a fast maturer...walked at 10 months...and talking not long after that....and always a curious soul.  I took this picture of her while outside one day while she was staring at something trying to figure out what it was.  ....so she could destroy it no doubt..lol!

I've layered in stickers, a tag, doilies, more stickers, tissue...and maybe some other random stuff I'm not mentioning!

Check out my stellar stamping! LOL....it's all good, I still like it right there. The paint drips came from diluting some gesso with water and flicking and dripping it from a paint brush.  This took all of 20 minutes to complete....Super quick!  Have a great weekend y'all! Playing catch-up AGAIN!

Ok, so here are a few projects that I've completed in the past week or two...or more lol. I'm here on the eve of Tropical Storm-soon to be Hurricane Issac-quickly making a blog post just to show that I DO still have a pulse.  My husband has boarded up windows...and we are prepared to stick it out here for the long haul if we lose power...which we likely will.  I'm a little more nervous about this one because the last hurricane we had was Katrina....and I didn't have any kiddos at the time...now I have three toddlers.  So, it's gonna be interesting!

SO, here are the projects:

This is a project that I completed for Clearsnap using the new Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays.  I love, love, love these sprays!  

They are so intensely vibrant....and they do not warp your paper which is a huge plus!  The shipping tags, doilie, stenciled sunburst, and the flag banners were all dyed with the sprays.

This layout was also completed using Clearsnap's Premuium Dye Inks and one of their newly released My First Colorbox mini stamp set.

The "pow" was created by masking an area inside a Crafter's Workshop stencil with die cut letters and using a stylus with foam tip applicator to apply the ink.  Check it out here for full details!

This is a layout that seriously came together very quickly.  The papers are from Carta Bella's "Beautiful Moments" line.  Gawgeous papers.  I wanted to keep it simple.

This layout was completed for Scrapping Frenzy using the above sketch as a challenge. Not a fav of mines, but neither are sketches :D.

Lastly, this is a very quick pillow box project (Clearsnap) that could be used for a teacher's gift or the likes there of.  It was created for a blog hop that we had this past weekend.  I've used MyStamp Box stamps and more of the Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Spray (Artichoke).  Have a great week y'all!  See ya on the flip side!

In a Blink

Hey y'all!  Just sharing a layout I completed for my LSS (Scrapping Frenzy).  I used GCD Studios Artistic papers, Teresa Collins papers (gawgeous papers!) from her Fabrications line, and my favorite-Crafter's Workshop stencils to create this layout. I took this picture on Easter Sunday....I seriously looked in her face and thought wow...she does not look like a baby anymore.  She's growing fast :(....It's kinda bittersweet since she's our last one, but it's one of those things that will and has to happen whether I like it or not! ;)

                                                                          In a Blink

 Here I've used a Crafter's Workshop stencil (Botanical Garden I THINK :D) with various color mists, on Artistic Paper, and fussy cut out some of the images to help frame the photo.  Behind that is a swipe of Glimmer Glam using a fan brush just for some interest (the "swirly" piece is a Thickers shape I had in my stash). 

 At the top, I layered in pieces of patterned paper and washi tape.  My sewing machine was being super tempermental....my excuse and I'm sticking with it!

At the bottom, I did the same as the top by layering in Teresa Collins printed papers and attempted to sew but just gave up. lol.  The stickers are American Craft that I had in my stash as well.
