I'm sharing a layout today that features ColorBox Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays!   I began by creating the tag separately using "Guava" and "Bubblegum" Dye Ink and water to achieve the watercolor effect on the background of the tag.  Once the ink was dry, I adhered the die-cut flowers and covered with fluid medium; the ink does "move" a little when the medium is applied.  Once the medium is dry, I randomly daub gesso over the entire tag to soften the colors a bit.  I liked the look of the tag and decided to build a layout around it!

I applied gesso to the Bazzill cardstock base and had fun layering up from there!  I used these hearts on a previous project and decided to incorporate the negatives onto this page...since I've been in such a pink mood!   Each heart was dipped into a mixture of either Dye Ink Spray in "Bubblegum or Guava"  Did I mention these were my FAVORITE Stephanie Barnard Sprays?  Maybe once? :D

All stamping- ColorBox Archival Dye Ink; because I have paint on this layout, it was necessary to  do the stamping with a permanent ink...and Clearsnap's Archival Dye Ink ..is a workhorse in this category!

Diva Down!

Just popping in to share a couple of layouts that I've completed recently.  Life is crazy busy with the three kiddos and just in general.   At any rate....I have been able to create a little (barely!).

This is my diva girl Kensie having an apparent meltdown about only God knows what.  The journaling basically tells how she was having a crying fit, and when she realized she didn't have an audience....she stopped crying and walked away.  This child of mine has a definite flare for the dramatics!

I created this layout for Clearsnap using the ever so fun and vibrant Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays.

Lastly, I created this simple card using a Clearsnap Molding Mat as a stamp.  The image was embossed with Clearsnap clear embossing powder to achieve the tone on tone look for the background.  BTW, they are giving some of these cool mats away this month HERE.  Check it out!   Take care y'all...hope to pop on here sooner than later ;)

Stash Smashing

I've had it in my brain to start purging papers and supplies...so naturally I've been going through my stash.  I ran across papers that just happened to go with a picture I'd just taken of my 2yr old...so I went to what I've deemed "stash smashing!"  These papers aren't that old...but they've been in my stash for a little while.

These papers are from American Crafts Amy Tan "Sketchbook" collection....there's also a small piece from a much older collection...I believe it was called "Craft Fair."  At any rate, the fun bright colors worked perfectly for this picture.  If you don't have little ones or just not familiar with toddler shows, Big Jet is a character from the Disney JR show "(The) Little Einsteins."  My daughter was outside playing when a plane flew over head...when she saw the plane she asked "Is that Big Jet Mama?"  I couldn't resist snapping a picture of  her cute little scrunched up face as she looked into the sky.

Of course, I couldn't resist using ink(s) on the layout to play up the bright colors.  Colorbox's Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays fit the bill :D   The bright intensity of these sprays worked perfectly for the photo and papers; colors used: Banana, Tangerine, Guava, and Licorice (potty person).  I used water in some spots just to get a tiny bit of color gradient in the background.  For stamping, I used Clearsnap's Premium Dye Ink in "Kettle."

This was a fun and quick layout...the bonus... I was able to use older papers and get inky in the process!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone!  I have a very quick and easy gift wrap idea that I was able to complete in no time using Colorbox Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Spray and  "Sprinkles" Chunky Glitter.

 

I am the world's WORST gift wrapper...seriously. Wrapping gifts during Christmas is a total chore.  There have been some years where "Santa" has just left gifts under the tree with no wrapping :D.  At any rate, this idea was super easy, simple yet elegant, and personalized.

 

 

A few years ago, I purchased a small berry wreath for probably less than a dollar.  I've been using it in pieces for crafting and thought it would be great for this idea.  There were more red berries than I preferred-so, I  painted them white, and while still wet, I dipped them in Stephanie Barnard's "Sprinkles" Chunky Glitter.  Of course this needs to dry (or dry with a heating tool).  

The piece of fabric has been dyed with Stephanie Barnard"s Premium Dye Ink Spray in "Bubblegum."  Once the fabric was dry, I stamped it with Clearsnap's Crafter's Ink in "Snow" and heat set dry.  The tag is a punch that has been lightly spritzed with Stephanie Barnard's Premium Dye Ink Spray in "Strawberry." 

Wrap the package with a piece of jute string to hold the tag and berry branch and that's it!  Super easy!

Update ..finally? :D

Here to share a few projects that I've completed lately.  Between my kids social life and school...I've just not had a chance to update here.  Every time I begin to post, I get distracted by a little one-then it's hours before I can even get back to the pc (in this case days!) I need to figure out if there's a way to do all this mobile.  :D   Is this what it resorts to?  You know having kiddos, you're lifeless and at their every beckon call?



In my best Madea voice...."ENTYWAY"   :)   Here are a few projects!:

This layout was created for the Xyron/Clearsnap blog hop that happened a few weeks ago....So is the card below. I used Stephanie Barnard Dye Ink Spray in Licorice to create the reversed stencil alphabet.

           Well, you know me and cards :D...nuff said!  This was a quickie (kinda :D)!

This is a layout I completed for Clearsnap.....there's a complete tutorial (here) up on the blog on how to create the dimensional background using modeling paste, Stephanie Barnard Dye Ink Spray and a Crafter's Workshop template.

Happy weekend y'all! I'm doing a quick post before I head off to my son's football game aka heat and humidity filled sweat fest! ;)   Can you tell I'm just brimming with excitement?   At any rate :D, just posting a couple of projects I've completed recently.

 

This layout was completed using Colorbox's Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays.  The complete layout and tutorial on how to achieve the controlled "ink blot" background using the dye ink spray, water, and gesso can be found here.

This layout is one that I completed for Scrapping Frenzy.  These are not papers I would traditionally use for myself so it was a good challenge for me to use them on a project. 

The branch is a die-cut that has been dyed again with Stephanie Barnard's Premium Dye Ink Spray by Colorbox in "Chocolate."  The color is so rich.....and I confess, this is the piece of paper that shows what the die-cut looks like in the packaging...very thin ...the spray did not warp it one bit.

Free Play

Ahhh, you know that feeling of just needing to get your hands dirty, no restrictions..no guidelines...well yea...I had that need!  So, I did...and here's the result.  Just a quickie!

I've used Stephanie Barnard's Premium Dye Ink Sprays by Clearsnap in "Guava" and "Banana" for the background...along with molding paste for a little added dimension and interest.  LOVE the color intensity of these sprays!

Did I say I LOVE these sprays!??!?

Playing catch-up AGAIN!

Ok, so here are a few projects that I've completed in the past week or two...or more lol. I'm here on the eve of Tropical Storm-soon to be Hurricane Issac-quickly making a blog post just to show that I DO still have a pulse.  My husband has boarded up windows...and we are prepared to stick it out here for the long haul if we lose power...which we likely will.  I'm a little more nervous about this one because the last hurricane we had was Katrina....and I didn't have any kiddos at the time...now I have three toddlers.  So, it's gonna be interesting!

SO, here are the projects:

This is a project that I completed for Clearsnap using the new Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays.  I love, love, love these sprays!  

They are so intensely vibrant....and they do not warp your paper which is a huge plus!  The shipping tags, doilie, stenciled sunburst, and the flag banners were all dyed with the sprays.

This layout was also completed using Clearsnap's Premuium Dye Inks and one of their newly released My First Colorbox mini stamp set.

The "pow" was created by masking an area inside a Crafter's Workshop stencil with die cut letters and using a stylus with foam tip applicator to apply the ink.  Check it out here for full details!

This is a layout that seriously came together very quickly.  The papers are from Carta Bella's "Beautiful Moments" line.  Gawgeous papers.  I wanted to keep it simple.

This layout was completed for Scrapping Frenzy using the above sketch as a challenge. Not a fav of mines, but neither are sketches :D.

Lastly, this is a very quick pillow box project (Clearsnap) that could be used for a teacher's gift or the likes there of.  It was created for a blog hop that we had this past weekend.  I've used MyStamp Box stamps and more of the Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Spray (Artichoke).  Have a great week y'all!  See ya on the flip side!

Where does the time go!

With all three kiddos home, it seems like time is not on my side!  I have a few layouts to share to play "catch-up" of sorts ;).

This is a layout that I completed using Crate Paper's "Random" Collection.  Lots of layers but yet  very simple. I love that my daughter was trying to hold back a laugh while I was being super silly.....she couldn't contain it for long!

Check out how intense those butterflies are!  They were sprayed with Clearsnap's new Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays in "Blueberry!"  I LOVE how "pure" and rich the colors are with these sprays.  The doilie has been sprayed with "Guava." The best part....the sprays won't warp your paper....yep, had to see it to believe it!

Ok, don't laugh...hehe, but this is my first EVER 2 page layout.....that I was FORCED to do using a SKETCH no less (double whammy) by my LSS (Scrapping Frenzy).  I will stick to one pagers please and thank you! :) ....well in their defense, they were trying to get me to think outside my box ;).

This is a tag I completed for Clearsnap featuring lots of Smooch Spritz, embossed resist background, Want2Scrap chip and bling....and lots of other little touches to complete the look!
