Update ..finally? :D

Here to share a few projects that I've completed lately.  Between my kids social life and school...I've just not had a chance to update here.  Every time I begin to post, I get distracted by a little one-then it's hours before I can even get back to the pc (in this case days!) I need to figure out if there's a way to do all this mobile.  :D   Is this what it resorts to?  You know having kiddos, you're lifeless and at their every beckon call?

This layout was created for the Xyron/Clearsnap blog hop that happened a few weeks ago....So is the card below. I used Stephanie Barnard Dye Ink Spray in Licorice to create the reversed stencil alphabet.

           Well, you know me and cards :D...nuff said!  This was a quickie (kinda :D)!

This is a layout I completed for Clearsnap.....there's a complete tutorial (here) up on the blog on how to create the dimensional background using modeling paste, Stephanie Barnard Dye Ink Spray and a Crafter's Workshop template.

That's it for today...FINGERS CROSSED...with my son's football nearing an end, I will be able to update a tad bit more!  Happy weekend!

Hey everyone! Yep, that's what today is....World Card Making Day!  I'm not big on making cards..in fact they don't come to me easily.  SO, I thought what better way to practice than to actually make one for the "holiday!"  

This card took hours to make-not because it was hard, but because it was simple.  My brain doesn't seem to work this way anymore.....I LOVE and appreciate simplistic scrapping and crafts, but when it's my turn to do so, I clam.  Anywho...the printed paper is from Authentique.  The card base is simply a piece of watercolor  paper that has been dry embossed with a Sizzix folder. 

The metal embellie sticker is from Mometa.

The stamp is from Teresa Collins Fabrications line stamped with Colorbox's Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink in "Banana."  See, seriously simple and easy...it realistically probably took 30 mins to make in real time! You know where you don't have to get up constantly to get your 2 yr old out of the paint, glittter, glue (everything but the crayons you've given her!). Hey everyone!  Here today to share a gift/party idea project (created for Scrapping Frenzy) that came together fairly quick. I've used some very beautiful papers from Pebbles and Authentique to create a Fourth of July themed treat bag and card.  These two lines coordinate together very nicely. 

 The card was really quick and easy to create. The base is a piece of kraft carstock that I've rounded (all edges) with a corner rounder tool. The center of the card is actually a manila shipping tag that is covered with canvas fabric and cotton batting. I glued the tag to the batting and sewed the canvas fabric on top.

I must admit, this isn't my original idea (fabric tag). The very talented Tammy Tutterow posted a tutorial on her blog giving step by step detail on how to dye muslin fabric (this step was included) and I was inspired to give this portion a go! I'm so glad I did because the fabric tag adds so much texture to the card! The star was cut from a piece of Fourth of July themed Reminsce paper that I had to "grunge" up a bit with Colorbox Cat's Eye Chalk inks (Chestunut Roan and Creamy Brown) so that it would match the other papers. All rosettes were created using both lines-Authentique and Pebbles. I added a coordinating button and a Tim Holtz memo pin and that's it!

I cut the bag with the Tags Bags and more Cricut cartridge using the window option. The clear window is simply a piece of transparency cut to size. The "banner" is a piece of Pebbles printed paper backed with canvas fabric.

Hey y'all!  Just sharing a layout that I completed for Scrapping Frenzy (LSS).  This layout is a little wonky in layers...and just using some stuff that was laying around on my table.
